Research interests: International relations, comparative public policy and politics, Latin American politics, European politics.

Recent News: Dr. Felsen recently co-edited Immigration: A Documentary and Reference Guide, published in 2009 by Greenwood Press. He is currently completing a book on contemporary Mexican politics. He is also conducting research on comparative immigration policies.
In May 2010, he was elected Vice-President of the World Affairs Council of San Diego. He has previously served in 2009 and 2010 as a member of the Board of Directors of the organization.


Gary L. GoodmanGary L. Goodman

Research interests: Political and economic development in Mexico and Latin America, subnational comparative politics, globalization and public policy.

Recent News: Dr. Goodman developed International Studies first Service Learning graduate seminar where the students worked with the not for profit Legal Aid Society of San Diego to create an educational video for an at-risk population on the unlawful detainer eviction process. This project not only exposed students to how public policy is developed and implemented, but also provided the student the opportunity to develop a program to educate others on their rights and responsibilities in one policy area.
