Recent news: Has been elected the 2008-09 president of San Diego I-O Professionals (SDIOP) and was also elected to the Board of Trustees of the San Diego Repertory Theatre this past summer. Dr. Ferdman was invited to join the Diversity Collegium. Over the summer he conducted a workshop on ”Identity Orientations of Latinos in the United States; Implications for Leaders and Organizations,”and gave a keynote speech entitled “On the shoulders of giants? The role of scholarship and research in diversity teaching and training,” at Teaching and Training Workplace Diversity: Bridging the Research-Practice Gap at at George Mason University. He also gave multiple presentations at the Academy of Management conference in August: “¿Quién Soy? ¿Quiénes Somos? Latino/a Life Stories and the Questions We Ask and Don’t Ask”, “In support of shared sisterhood: Creating a space for the questions we need to ask” and “Teaching an MBA/MA/MS or doctoral level diversity course.”
